Best Thing I Ever Ate: Comfort Food

There is one food I can't get enough of. Somehow, I always come back craving more and more. Popping the bite sized food in my mouth and leaving a collection of toothpicks on my plate, they are irresistible. The small rolled meat dish called bracciolini,always reminds me of home. This is without a doubt my favorite and comfort food. Flattened out and rolled with butter, seasoned breadcrumbs, a touch of tomato sauce and cooked until tender, it is mouth watering. It reminds me of climbing onto a stool to reach the counter and helping my grandmother roll the bracciolini and heating up the homemade pizzelle maker. If I close my eyes, I can smell the tomato sauce slowly simmering on the stove with an abundance of garlic in the air. It brings me right back to my childhood at home.
