I am in the fast track program here at JWU, which means that one semester of my lab credits were already satisfied, due to my high school education. Since kids in my class had "experience" from high school, I was expecting a faster pace, organized kitchen. Boy was I wrong. It was very interesting to see the different levels of intensity in the kitchen and ironically, some kids in my class decided to eaither drop out of the culinary program, or leave JWU completely. I guess I was just expecting a more committed and driven group of students in this program. You only get what you make of it, so make it the best and take advantage of your resources.

I so agree with you after the sentence "boy was I worng". Not even at the lab class but also at the academic class, people get so unresponsible for their need to do or have to do things. It gets better when you become a junior or senior student, but before that, oh my.

I know exactly how you feel!! I expected labs to be incredibly intense and rigorous courses. The work was sometimes a challenge but it certainly wasn't as challenging as learning to work together in an organized class.
