Electric Toothbrush

About a month ago, I went to the dentist and had my teeth scaled. Right after I came home, I bought a Phillips electric toothbrush. The dentist had shown me a video that was about “how to use a toothbrush and dental floss correctly,” and that video made me want an electric toothbrush. Using an electric toothbrush seemed cleaner and more precise than using a regular one.

The electric toothbrush looked good when I bought it. It has a nice, soft brush part that was small enough to brush every inch in my mouth. It has rechargeable power so that I don’t have to worry about a battery, and it even has a 2 minute timer so that I can keep track of my brushing time.

After I brushed my teeth with the electric toothbrush for the first time, however, I was quite disappointed. Because there is no extreme brushing motion like these in with a regular toothbrush, I can’t feel refreshed or that my teeth are clean even though I brushed my teeth in the right way. The body part of the toothbrush keeps touching my teeth because of the vibration, and my teeth gets tingly after I brush my teeth. Also, toothpaste bubbles get all over the place.

I am still getting used to using an electric toothbrush, but buying it doesn’t seem to have been a great choice for me.
